  4 Kids. Husband lost his job after 15 years. Cashed out his IRA. Maxed out our credit cards while he searched for work, and finally found some but at 1/3 his former pay. Long story short, we were able to get rid of $45,000 in credit card debt and a $10,000 auto loan deficiency from the repossession. This was like a breath of fresh air.
